What is the Invisalign treatment process?

Invisalign treatment starts with a one-on-one consultation at SEDA Dental. During this appointment, your Invisalign-trained doctor does an oral exam and evaluates your smile. Next, your dentist takes a series of digital impressions of your teeth. 

Your dentist uploads your impressions to a computer using a special software program and maps out the step-by-step movements of your teeth. After approving your treatment plan, your dentist sends your impressions to a laboratory that manufactures your first set of aligners. 

Every 1-2 weeks, you return to SEDA Dental to receive a new set of aligners. In order to achieve the best possible results, it’s important you wear your Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours each day. 

How long does it take to achieve results using Invisalign?

The length of Invisalign treatment varies from person-to-person, but most people achieve a straighter, healthier smile within 12-18 months. Be patient and follow your dentist’s instructions accordingly. After you’re finished with Invisalign treatment, you’re asked to wear a retainer. The retainer locks in your smile, preventing your teeth from moving out of place.
